July 2022 roundup – check out these sizzling summer blog posts

And just like that, it’s August. July flew by way too quickly. Sometimes, I wish I had a time machine that could slow things down to make summer last just a little bit longer. Since I don’t have such a machine, I simply encourage you to relax for a few minutes and enjoy my July 2022 roundup of sizzling summer blog posts.

This monthly roundup is my way of saying thank you to the blogging community, and featuring some of my favourite bloggers who regularly put out funny, inspiring and informative content.

So find a shady spot, grab your favourite cold beverage and take a few minutes to read these posts. I hope you’ll love them as much as I did. While you’re at it, explore some of the other content from these bloggers and give them a follow.

Coming up on Boomer Eco Crusader in August

I’m travelling a fair bit in the first part of August so it may be a slow month on the blog. However, I will keep up with my weekly Simple Living Sunday posts, and I plan to republish a couple of older posts. Plus, I have some exciting news. Later this month I’ll be kicking off a new blogging collaboration with some other eco-bloggers. Stay tuned for more information.

A couple of weeks ago I went to a wedding. The pre-minimal me would have seized on the opportunity to go out and get a perfect ‘100%’ outfit, but I’ve matured since then and found that I could get a perfectly acceptable 80% version.

How to empower people with mental health issues – Unwanted Life

This post has some excellent—and easy to implement—ideas that can make a big difference to people with mental health issues.

Making an effort to empower people is not only good for the person you’re empowering, but society at large as well. As a rule of thumb, just treat people like you’d want to be treated if you were in that situation and were struggling.

Why we need to use sunscreen and not just when it’s sunny – Jasperden Health

With several weeks left in summer, Rachel’s post is a reminder of the damaging effects of the sun and why we should always wear sunscreen.

Using a higher SPF isn’t always better. A sunscreen with a SPF of 50 blocks about 98% of UVB rays; only 1% more than a sunscreen of SPF 30.

  1. I always love roundup posts, mostly because I get to read quality content that has been vouched for, and not trawl through the random posts on Reader. Thanks for sharing, Michelle. Keep these posts coming!

  2. This looks like an excellent round up Michelle. I will take a look at a few in a bit. Summer has flown by. We just spent the past 3 months in our native NJ. We had a blast but it is time to move on to a cooler climate in upstate NY in a few. Fabulous blog.

    1. Thanks Ryan. I hope you find some cooler weather in upstate NY. Although that’s not far from here and our weather has been unbearably hot of late.

I'd love to hear your ideas. Drop me a comment below.
