Throwback Thursday – What I learned from a landfill tour

Earth Day is coming up later this month. To celebrate, today’s Throwback Thursday post is from April 2023 when a landfill tour opened my eyes to the amount of waste we produce.

Our local waste management centre offers tours a couple of times a year to celebrate Earth Day and Waste Management Month. The tour was fascinating. I learned so much about how our waste is sorted and processed. Plus, I was inspired by some of the innovation that turns waste into something useful.
