As we turn yet another page on the calendar, we’re halfway through 2022 and officially a couple of weeks into summer. June was a busy month for me, and I fell a little behind in my blog reading. Nevertheless, I still found four posts to share in my June 2022 roundup of inspiring blog posts.
This monthly roundup is my way of saying thank you to the blogging community, and featuring some of my favourite bloggers who regularly put out funny, inspiring and informative content.
So find a sunny spot, grab your favourite iced beverage and take a few minutes to read these posts. I hope you’ll love them as much as I did. While you’re at it, explore some of the other content from these bloggers and give them a follow.
Thanks to Bosssy Babe for putting me in the spotlight
A highlight of June for me on the blogging front was being featured in Bosssy Babe’s Blogger Spotlight Series. Like my monthly roundup, Jen’s monthly spotlight post is a way of introducing her readers to some of her favourite bloggers. If you missed the post, you can check it out here.
Thanks again to Jen for asking me to participate!
Coming up on Boomer Eco Crusader in July
In addition to my weekly Simple Living Sunday posts, this month I’ll celebrate my third blogiversary with a post about some highlights of year three. I’ve also got some ideas on how you can embrace your inner child, and I’ll celebrate “Rain Day” with a look at how climate change is impacting our weather patterns.
Let’s keep in touch! Join my mailing list and I’ll email you when I add a new post.

Happy birthday to me! – Duch Dad
In this post, Kieron reflects on getting older and reminds us that life is indeed a precious gift.
We now live in times where the younger generation seem to be trying to match an ‘Instagram filter’ and most people have a such negative self-image, both physically and mentally. It really isn’t healthy for anyone.

15 things that waste our time without realizing it – Weird Lifestyle
We all have the same 24 hours in a day, yet some people squeeze so much more out of their time. Maybe they shun the time wasters highlighted in this blog post.
Progress is what everyone should work on and not perfection. To accomplish everything better than the last time.

Renata’s guide to interviewing – Buffalo Sauce Everywhere
With many people changing jobs these days, you may have been on an interview or two. In this post, Renata provides some tongue-in-cheek interview advice that will bring a smile to your face.
Always always send a thank you note. It’s important to thank interviewers for the time they took to interview you, the patience they had as you recited all 90 minutes of Shrek, and their lunch that you took out of the fridge.

I’ve never been afraid to be in this country before but I am now – Goddess Attainable
There has been much written about the overturning of Roe v. Wade by SCOTUS. This post provides a thoughtful look at why this ruling sets the United States…and potentially other countries…on a slippery slope.
And if you think abortion is immoral, fine. But it’s not a crime to be immoral! People do immoral things every day in this country and none of it is regulated. Welcome to America, the land of the free!
