Seasonal favourites – My favourite Christmas clothing

I love Christmas! It’s one of the reasons I’ve chosen to do Blogmas two years in a row. Something I love about Blogmas is sharing some of my Christmas favourites with you. Last year, I shared my beloved Christmas songs, albums, and movies. This year, I’ve got more special Christmas items to share, starting today with my favourite Christmas clothing.

Over the years, I’ve amassed quite an assortment of Christmas clothing. Starting December 1, my wardrobe gets a makeover. In fact, I have a dresser drawer set aside for my festive clothing collection. All of this clothing has somehow escaped my decluttering efforts because the answer to the question “Do I love it?” is always a resounding “YES”.

Here’s a snapshot of my Christmas clothing drawer—all nicely organized with vertical storage. (Thanks Marie Kondo!)

Let’s pull out some of my favourites for a closer look.

The go-anywhere Christmas dress

I rarely shop at Walmart, but I picked up this dress there a couple of years ago and I absolutely love it! It’s cute and so comfy, and it works for many occasions. I usually pair it with red tights or leggings.

No ugly sweaters here

I’m not a fan of the ugly Christmas sweater craze, mainly because I usually end up liking what some people classify as ugly. Here’s my favourite Christmas sweater.

I’ve had this sweater for years and it’s my first choice for outdoor activities on cold winter days. My only criticism is it’s too hot to wear indoors.

My wear-anywhere Christmas tops

A few years ago, I found several long-sleeved t-shirts while shopping at The Bay. They have become my “go to” Christmas clothing because I wear them to work, at home, basically anywhere I go in December.

This reindeer top is my favourite. It’s simple with just a little touch of bling to give it a festive feel.

Favourite pyjamas

There are so many cute Christmas pyjamas, it’s hard to resist buying a new pair every year. These are my go-to Christmas pyjamas. I love the bright Christmas light motif.

Let’s not forget the socks

Last but not least, the Christmas socks. I have several pairs of Christmas socks—too many to be honest. It’s tough to pick a favourite pair but I think I’ll have to go with these.

I love gingerbread men and these little guys are just so darn adorable. What’s not to love?

I hope you enjoyed this little peek into my Christmas closet.

    1. That would be nice. I have Christmas glasses and a couple of serving dishes but I’ve never had Christmas plates. My good dishes are white China so they go with anything.

  1. I love all your favourite Christmas clothing, thank you for sharing! I have a few simple favourites, no ugly Christmas sweaters! I LOVE Christmas socks! Unable to wear socks for years, recent foot surgery has allowed me to wear socks again, that makes me very happy to wear my Christmas socks!
    Cheers, Michelle!

  2. I don’t have much, but I do have a couple of Christmas sweatshirts, an ancient sweater that my former boss gave me over 25 yrs ago, and some Christmas pjs I wear on occasion (when it’s really cold). One year, my brother gave me some footed Grinch pajamas, and occasionally, for a laugh, I put them on. I love the Grinch, and I have to watch it (the original cartoon) every year!

I'd love to hear your ideas. Drop me a comment below.
