A new year provides an opportunity to revisit our habits, and that includes spending habits. In a world where we’re bombarded with marketing messages, it’s hard to resist that latest “life-changing” product. But our society’s obsession with shopping doesn’t just harm our wallets. Current levels of consumption are also significantly more than the Earth can sustain.
