Monthly roundup – 6 outstanding October blog posts

October has come to an end and it’s time for my monthly roundup of favourite blog posts from last month. Thanks to Blogtober, the blogging community put out a lot of content in October. I thought we could all use a break from reading about Halloween, fall activities, and horror films, so I’ve chosen 6 outstanding October blog posts that focus on other topics.

This monthly roundup is my way of saying thank you to the blogging community, and highlighting some of my favourite bloggers who regularly put out funny, inspiring and informative content.

Please take a few minutes to read these posts. I’m sure you’ll love them. While you’re there, explore some of the other content from these bloggers and give them a follow.

Coming up on Boomer Eco Crusader in November

November is Financial Literacy Month in Canada. Along with my regular content and decluttering challenge update posts, I’ll be posting some financial content. Stay tuned for my thoughts on F.I.R.E., the high cost of housing, and Black Friday.

Violence against women is too common in our world. In this thought-provoking post, Tom reacts to the phrase “It’s not all men”.

Successful people are not perfectionists – Weird Lifestyle

Here’s a new face in my monthly roundup. We often think of perfection as a good thing but it has a dark side. As a reformed perfectionist, I found so much truth and wisdom in this post.

To succeed in something means that you allow yourself to be wrong, to make lots of mistakes, to fail over and over again, to look ridiculous, and be laughed at. In other words, all those things that are not acceptable for a perfectionist.
