October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This month’s Throwback Thursday posts feature some of the pieces I’ve written based on my personal experience with breast cancer. Today’s post from 2021 looks at some of the things people said to me following my cancer diagnosis that were far from helpful.  

It’s hard to know what to say or do when a loved one is facing a cancer diagnosis. Sometimes people say the wrong thing without realizing it. Read this post for 12 things people said to me that I wish they hadn’t.
