Nature documentaries to grow your knowledge

The Climate Change Collective is an initiative where the blogging community unites behind a common goal. In this month’s lead post, Molly from Transatlantic Notes discusses nature documentaries and how you can differentiate the good and the bad.

The most important nature documentaries to watch

With so much misinformation circulating, one of the most important things those of us who care about the Earth and the impact of climate change can do is educate ourselves.

In her post, Molly recommends a list of nature documentaries, including two from Sir David Attenborough that are among my favourites: the Our Planet series and A Life on our Planet. In addition to Molly’s list of important nature documentaries, her post has some excellent tips to help you spot a trustworthy documentary.

Environmental and wildlife documentaries engage and provide accessible explanations of scientific concepts, making complex data understandable. By showcasing real-world examples, such as melting ice caps and endangered species, they highlight the urgency of environmental issues.

About the Climate Change Collective

The Climate Change Collective was born out of an exchange that took place when I left a comment on a blog post by Jamie Ad Stories. Jamie and I wanted to find a way to keep the climate change message top of mind for everyone, so I put out a tweet to see what kind of interest there would be in a climate-change-related blogging collaboration. The Climate Change Collective was born!

The members of the collective take turns writing a monthly blog post sharing their unique perspective about climate change. After the post is published, the rest of the group keeps the conversation going by sharing a link to the post on their blogs along with their thoughts and ideas.

If you’re a like-minded blogger and would like to join our collective, please get in touch. More voices joining the conversation means more attention to the problems plaguing our planet!

Hi there! I’m Michelle and I live in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. I am married with two young adult daughters. I’m a big fan of reducing waste, using less plastic, decluttering and simplifying life as much as possible.
