Try these balance exercise videos to promote healthy aging

What does your fitness routine look like? If it doesn’t include regular balance training, you’ll want to take a look at a post I published on my retirement coaching site last week. The post shares some of my favourite balance exercise videos.

The role of balance in healthy aging

If you follow my monthly goals update, you know I added balance improvement sessions to my regular fitness routine in the middle of 2024. Maintaining and improving balance is an element of fitness we often overlook as we focus on cardio and strength training.

Visit my Second Life Vision blog to learn the important role balance plays in preventing falls and promoting healthy aging. You’ll also find a selection of balance exercise videos from some of my favourite YouTube channels that provide fitness content for adults over 50.

Hi there! I’m Michelle and I live in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. I am married with two young adult daughters. I’m a big fan of reducing waste, using less plastic, decluttering and simplifying life as much as possible.

  1. I really need to work on my balance and general flexibility and I hadn’t thought to look for videos to help with this! I like the selection to try out here, very useful. The 15-minute one sounds particularly good, I will have to try it out!

  2. I have various videos saved that highlight balance and flexibility. I really need to start using them. I want them to be like my walking routine- the realization of what I’m missing on the days that I don’t walk 😉

I'd love to hear your ideas. Drop me a comment below.
