Michelle’s favourite eco-blogs and sites
One of the things I love about blogging is the diversity of content from the blogging community. Since starting Boomer Eco Crusader almost four years ago, I have discovered so many talented writers and small business owners who are making a difference in their own unique way.
Here are eight of my favourite eco-blogs and sites that have inspired me.
A Sustainably Simple Life
A Sustainably Simple Life is written by Krista and Alison, two friends from British Columbia, Canada who blog about sustainability, gardening, DIY, and simple living. They are part of the Climate Change Collective—in fact, we can thank Alison for inspiring the name.

Jamie Ad Stories
Jamie and I started the Climate Change Collective after I left a comment on one of his blog posts last summer. He’s a teacher and writer who blogs about a variety of topics, including climate change. I especially enjoy how he uses poetry, fiction and non-fiction to share his message.

SWOP – Shop Without Plastic
The next site is a sustainable small business—something the world needs more of.
As a reader of my blog, you can get 15% off at SWOP – Shop Without Plastic when you use the code: BOOMER2023.
Lars, from Shop Without Plastic, reached out to me a few weeks ago about possible partnership opportunities. When I went to check out their site, I was so inspired by their story about how making one small swap at a time snowballed and they eventually started their own online store.
Lars has written a guest post for my blog on plastic-free innovations. Watch for it next week.

Markus + Micah
Markus and Micah are a German-Filipino couple who live slow and eat well. I’ve been so inspired by their stories of simple living, but I always look forward to their posts about sea turtle conservation efforts. I’ve adopted a turtle nest for the last two years and I have been so excited to be a part of their community.

You’re welcome. I hope you had a wonderful Earth Day!
Thank you for sharing this list. 😀
You’re welcome, Rachel. I hope you enjoy some of the sites.
Thank you so much for including me in this great round-up/list — you’ve given me some other great blog posts and bloggers to check out. Thanks!
My pleasure Molly. There are so much fantastic content and work being done out there! Just trying to spread a little sunshine! ☀️
Thank you, Michelle! Great resources — and I love that you’re connecting with Todd’s work. Super cool! 😎
Thanks Victoria. Yes, I am enjoying Todd’s site.
🥰
Great list Michelle. I will toss in a blog I have followed for years- thekitchensgarden.com here on WP. Cecilia is an organic farmer in Illinois- she actually reclaimed her families chemically farmed land so lots of farm stories, but recently she has begun focusing her writing and teaching about sustainability. She is very open, honest, encouraging and practical. Soon she is moving a lot of her info to include a newsletter with curated info on real life solutions. I love how genuine she is.
Thanks Deb! I appreciate the suggestion. I will definitely check out Cecilia’s site.
